Heather L. Porterfield is a highly experienced instructional designer with a proven record of accomplishment of successful management and development of meaningful learning solutions for adult learners. She is capable of leading and managing national learning initiatives, including staff and vendor relationships. Heather has comprehensive knowledge, training, and hands-on experience in all aspects of the instructional development process within corporate, academic, and non-profit environments.
With over 13 years of experience in instructional design, Heather is able to develop and deliver highly effective training programs and collateral materials across a wide range of technical, business, and academic subject areas with a strong understanding of content development, program assessment, and instructional approaches for Internet/intranet, distance learning, and instructor-led programs.
In addition, Heather enjoys learning, animals, the outdoors, reading, Russian history, hockey, jewelry and fascinator design, and fabric arts. She currently lives in Lewisville, NC with her two cats, Simon and Leopold.
